Author Talk: Jacquelyn Procter Reeves
Thursday, October 6, 2022 4 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Who doesn’t love ghost stories? It’s Halloween Season, the time of year when children dressed as ghosts and goblins take to the streets – but it’s also a time when we adults get another chance to relive that mysterious fun of childhood!
Join Jacquelyn Proctor Reeves, author of Where Spirits Linger: Huntsville’s Haunted Past and founder of the Huntsville Ghost Walk, on Thursday, October 6 at 4 p.m. at the South Huntsville Public Library. Jacque will share spooky stories guaranteed to give chills and get you in the mood for the Halloween Season. Are the rumors about Maple Hill Cemetery’s “Dead Children’s Playground” real? How could a long-ago Huntsville mayor, killed in the 1864 Battle of Atlanta, look down and see his headless body on the ground before him? Why does Abraham Lincoln continue to haunt the White House? These stories, and more, will send shivers down your spine…if you’re brave enough to listen!
