What is putz?
The word putz was derived from the German word “putzen,” which means to adorn or clean in the Pennsylvania-German dialect. It has come to mean a decorative display built around a representation of the nativity scene traditionally placed under the Christmas tree in Pennsylvania-German homes. We are creating a small Putz village and each event creates a different house. To see the sample, come by the Makerspace and look for the upcoming Putz house on the light table.
