April is John Carpenter Double Feature month and we kick it off with one of his best flicks, They Live. Drifter John Nada makes his way to a shelter community in L.A. on the outset of a war with aliens who are taking over our world's natural resources. Special Ray-Ban sunglasses enable the freedom fighters to identify the invaders among us. Wrestling great Rowdy Roddy Piper stars as Nada, chewing bubblegum and kicking alien heiny until he's all out of bubblegum. Features the iconic 6-minute back alley brawl where Nada and his partner Frank wipe the street up with one another just because. Features David Keith, Meg Foster, George "Buck" Flower, Peter Jason and Raymond St. Jacques as the blind preacher who says, "They may have taken my eyes, but I can see!" Adult language, adult situations, action movie, sci-fi and wrestling violence. (94 minutes) The Auditorium opens at 6:00 p.m. and the movie begins at 6:30. Food and drink are allowed in the auditorium during the movie.
