Fast Times at Ridgemont High- TV Version (1982)
One of the quintessential 80's teen comedies, Fast Times at Ridgemont High was an instant hit and inspired teen comedies throughout the decade. The cast is a Who's Who of young talent just beginning their careers. Because of R-rated content, when Fast Times at Ridgemont High made its Network TV premiere, most all of the questionable content was replaced with scenes cut from the theatrical version. These scenes comprise more character moments (such as Jeff Spicoli's Mick Jagger guitar pick story) but most of all, they showcase Nicolas Cage's first film performance. The theatrical version of Fast Times at Ridgemont High contained one brief glimpse of Cage as a worker at the All American Burger. The TV Version displays his full performance- he's an actual character in the TV Version. Adult language, adult humor and adult situations. (90 minutes) The Auditorium opens at 6:00 p.m. and the movie begins at 6:30 p.m. Food and drink are allowed in the auditorium during the movie. Hey Bud, let's party!
