Lifeboat (1944)
For this very special 5th Thursday movie night, join The-MAD-Movie-A-Thon-O-Rama as we celebrate Golden Age Hollywood starlet and Huntsville, AL native Tallulah Bankhead's 123rd Birthday (January 31, 1902) with a screening of her Alfred Hitchcock thriller Lifeboat. After a merchant ship is torpedoed, the survivors share a lifeboat with one of the crew of the boat that sank them. This World War II thriller takes place almost entirely on a rubber lifeboat. Lifeboat was made before the MPA's rating system. It contains adult situations, adult themes, mild violence, smoking, drinking, gratuitous footsie and WWII type mayhem. The auditorium opens at 6:00 p.m. and the film begins at 6:30 p.m. Food and drink are allowed in the auditorium during the movie. 97 minutes.
