FABclub meets once a month to discuss books by female authors. We read a variety of genres. Everyone is welcome to join!
This month we are discussing Palmares by Gayl Jones. The novel follows Almeyda, who retrospectively tells the story of her life, from growing up as a slave in a plantation in 1670s Brazil to her journey throughout the country to find her missing husband.
The novel was a finalist for the 2022 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
FABclub meets on the fourth Friday of the month at 11:30am in Meeting Room A at the Downtown Huntsville Public Library.
