The Prevailing Winds Flute Ensemble is a community flute choir based in the Huntsville-Madison-Tennessee Valley area. Their performances showcase the full range of the flute family, including piccolo, flute, alto flute, bass flute, and even the contrabass flute (the only one of its kind in Huntsville!)

Founded in 2005, their all-volunteer group has grown for nearly two decades, welcoming players of all ages and backgrounds. Their members span from college students to retirees, featuring both aspiring musicians and seasoned professionals.

What started as a small flute choir of 5 members has grown into a flute orchestra of 35 musicians!
