The Last Dragon (1985)
Taimak is Leroy Green, better known around the neighborhood as Bruce Leroy, a disciple of martial arts expert Bruce Lee. Choosing to live simply, Leroy's life takes a turn when he meets lovely singer Laura Charles (Vanity), then incurs the wrath of both the mob and ghetto head-breaker Sho Nuff, the Shogun of Harlem (Julius Carry). Will Leroy find his glow in time to save the day? It's an urban fairy tale, with Kung Fu. Produced by Motown Records founder Barry Gordy and directed by the great Michael Shultz (Cooley High, Car Wash). The Last Dragon was rated PG-13 in 1985 for adult language, situations and humor, martial arts violence, gratuitous destruction of Daddy Green's pizzeria, gratuitous destruction of a 42nd Street grindhouse during a Kung Fu double feature, gratuitous cliched mobsters, gratuitous 80s fashions and gratuitous 80s dancing. The Auditorium opens at 6:00 p.m. and the movie begins at 6:30 p.m. Food and drink are allowed in the auditorium during the film. 109 minutes.
