2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the Eastern Wilderness Areas Act, which designated all three of Alabama's federal Wilderness areas - Sipsey, Cheaha, and Dugger Mountain. In honor of this milestone, Janice Barrett, Education and Outreach Coordinator for Wild Alabama, will present Conservation Through Art:  50 Years of Wilderness in Alabama. She will explore the origins and significance of Alabama's Wilderness areas, their role as public lands, and how Wild Alabama harnesses the power of art to educate, engage, and inspire conservation.

This program is sponsored by Madison Greenways and Trails.
