Join us for this free community screening of "Rebel with a Clause" preceded by "Voices of the Academy" in partnership with the Southern Fried Film Festival.

"Rebel with a Clause" looks at controversial topics like the Oxford comma and prepositions at the end of sentences. In this documentary about Ellen Jovin, you follow along as she sets up a “grammar table” in each of the 50 states. People stop to ask grammar questions, vent, or debate rules. What Ellen and her director husband find about grammar in America will surprise you!

"The Voices of the Academy" is a 13-minute film showing how three professors explore African American Vernacular English in academia. This fascinating film looks at the cultural impact and the work still to be done for acceptance.
