Ghost Stories with the Huntsville Ghost Walk
Tuesday, September 15, 2026 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Join us for an evening of spine-tingling true ghost stories with Jacque and Robert Reeves, co-founders of the Huntsville Ghost Walk. Jacque is also the acclaimed author of books on true crime, history, and the supernatural. This special event takes place on September 15 at 6 p.m. — just in time to kick off the Halloween season!
Robert & Jacque will share haunting tales including:
- The Bell Witch - perhaps the most well-known haunting in America. John Bell and his daughter, Betsy, were the recipients of malevolent events by a spirit that eventually claimed the life of John Bell and sang bawdy songs at his funeral from 1817 - 1821. The Bell family lived near Adams, Tennessee and Robert will tell little known facts about the frightening events suffered by the Bell family.
- Angry ghost inside the Madison County Courthouse.
- World War I soldier shot through the eye.
Come a little early for a meet and greet with the Madison History Association.

Jacque Reeves is the past president of the Huntsville-Madison County Historical Society, Descendants of Washington’s Army at Valley Forge, and the Maple Hill Cemetery Stroll. She was curator of the Historic Donnell House in Athens for 11 years and has edited numerous historical publications. The Huntsville Ghost Walk, which she co-founded, was named the #2 Best Ghost Walk by USA Today in 2024.
Robert Reeves, is a retired news anchor with WHNT Channel 19 in Huntsville and a co-founder of the Huntsville Ghost Walk.
