Historic Ghost Stories in Madison and Huntsville with the Madison History Association
Tuesday, September 16, 2025 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.
Join us for an evening of spine-tingling true ghost stories with Jacque Reeves, co-founder of the Huntsville Ghost Walk and acclaimed author of books on true crime, history, and the supernatural. This special event takes place on September 16 at 6 p.m. — just in time to kick off the Halloween season!
Jacque will share haunting tales from North Alabama’s eerie past, including:
- The Murder of Nathan Freeman – Robbed and killed in 1884, Freeman’s spirit still lingers… searching for the one item stolen from him.
- William Halsey’s Madness – In 1909, Halsey inexplicably killed two men in his store. His ghost offers a chilling explanation for his descent into madness.
- The Apparitions at Helion Lodge – Witnesses have seen figures climbing stairs and vanishing through a long-gone wall. What secret ties the lodge to a popular superstition and the Masonic order?
Each story is backed by historical research — and verified with the help of mediums.
Come a little early for a meet and greet with the Madison History Association. Author's books for sale by Blue Apple Books.
