June’s second film will be from the 2000s: The Dark Knight

The Dark Knight is a 2008 American superhero crime film directed by Christopher Nolan and based on DC Comics’ Batman character. The film stars Christian Bale as Bruce Wayne/Batman, alongside Heath Ledger as the Joker, a chaotic criminal mastermind who plunges Gotham City into an escalating battle of fear and moral uncertainty. As Batman works with allies James Gordon and Harvey Dent to dismantle organized crime, the Joker forces the city—and its heroes—to confront difficult choices that blur the line between justice and vigilantism. Renowned for its intense performances, grounded realism, and exploration of order versus chaos, The Dark Knight is widely regarded as a landmark in both the superhero and crime film genres.

Popcorn will be provided!

Doors open at 12:30. Film starts at 1:00.
