Before it became the Rocket City, Huntsville experienced remarkable growth during WW2 as the Army established several arsenals to manufacture chemical weapons within Madison County. We’ll look at Huntsville in 1941 as it recovered from the Depression, and the why & how the Army came to Huntsville with its wide-reaching impact on the community.
Presented by HMCPL Special Collections Librarian David Lilly
The sessions will be lunch and learn, so bring your own meal to enjoy.
