Starting in February the Hazel Green Public Library is offering a genealogy series that will cover the basic steps to starting your family history journey. We will learn how to use popular online tools such as Ancestry (available for use in HMCPL branches) and cover the importance of relative interviews and how to build your family tree. For most of the sessions a laptop is not required but highly recommended.

Please bring a notepad and writing utensil for taking notes.

February 3 at 1:00 PM is the first class in the series: A Beginner's First Step.

Upcoming classes:

2. How to Search Ancestry.com Library Edition

3. Organizing Your Genealogy Files

4. How to Interpret and Use AncestryDNA Results

5. Planning Your Research Path
