In conjunction with the Scottsboro Boys travel exhibition that is being hosted at the Downtown Huntsville Public Library we are presenting Black in the South. A film series that looks at the historical Black experience in the South through the lens of cinema.
This week is In This Our Life, an underrated film from 1942 directed by John Huston and featuring Academy Award winner Hattie McDaniel. The day before her wedding, a pampered young woman absconds with her sister's husband. Her sister begins seeing the woman's former fiancé.
