La La Land was nominated for 13 Oscars and won 6: Best Director (Damien Chazelle), Actress (Emma Stone), Cinematography, Score, Song, and Production Design (Ryan Gosling was nominated for Best Actor).

This film series takes four peeks behind the curtain of Hollywood: a musical about the introduction of sound in the late 1920s, a comedy about the chaos of a 1950s movie studio, a drama about the ruthless puppeteering of a mid-20th century movie producer, and a musical dramedy about the relentless struggle of being an unknown trying to catch a big break in the present day.
